This course is delivered on campus and is a 26 week course with 12hrs of practical placement

The nationally accredited 10695NAT Certificate IV in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course is an internationally recognised qualification in teaching English to non-native English speakers. This is certainly a valuable qualification to have in your employability ‘tool kit’!
You will learn how to plan, organise, and deliver engaging and relevant lessons to a group of culturally and linguistically diverse students. You will develop skills in sourcing and creating resources to support the learning experience of your students.

At the end of this course, you will...

  • be able to analyse language for the purpose of teaching
  • be able to plan and deliver effective English language lessons to a targeted group of learners
  • have completed a minimum of 6 hours of supervised teaching practice and observed 6 hours of teaching by an experienced TESOL teacher
