Certificate IV in TESOL

Duration: 26 weeks + 4 weeks summer holiday

This course develops all facets of becoming an effective teacher and prepares students for directly entering into a TESOL teaching career. Graduates of this course may apply for teaching positions in Australian community centres, language schools and private colleges. Students may also work in other countries in a wide range of positions.

The nationally accredited 10773NAT Certificate IV in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course is an internationally recognised qualification in teaching English to domestic and international students. This is certainly a wonderful qualification to have in your employability ‘tool kit’!
You will learn how to plan, organise, and deliver group-based learning, and gain skills in sourcing and developing resources to support the learning experience of your students.

  • Be confident in your own abilities in English, and know how to monitor and improve yourself
  • Be able to plan and deliver effective lessons in English, to a range of groups on a wide range of subjects and skills
